Ok, for starters, this is an INSIDE ONLY helicopter. Which is fine, because the price tag of an outside copter is [...]-.
This helicopter has good features as the lights flicker, and the spotlight on the bottom adds a enjoyable effect and is also really beneficial when flying with the lights off. The stability, turns, and motion is especially precise and functions like a charm.
Nevertheless, I will have to say that when you to begin with take off it is difficult to get it proper. It is virtually impossible to take off from the carpet and / or floor. You have to have to take off from some thing elevated like a stool, step-stool, table, chair and so on. This is mainly due to the fact when you put the throttle to go up, ( if you push it all the way to the top ) the helicopter flies up way to fast and becomes unstable and unmanageable. If you go to slow, it tends to tip to one side or the order and with basically fail to launch due to the carpet.
You may test what you like, but this toy is worth the purchase.
As far as durability goes, my four year old and 7 year crash it alot more instances than I can count and it runs great.
It does come with 1 set of added rotor blades!

I was so excited when I bought this item...it came in the mail honestly fast...I was able to get it charged rather effortlessly and within a couple of hours I had it at function and we were playing with it. Issue is that right after 2 or three days...the item would no longer charge and when it did appear like it had a charge...the helicopter would only hover 3 or four inches above the ground. The controller was kinda poorly created given that I noticed that I had to set it halfway inbetween settings in order to get the helicopter to recognize input. So for 2 or three days of fun...then weeks of searching at it on my table with regret...i'd say skip this item and go with something else.
